Our vineyards in St. Magdalena are the perfect location for two autochthonous grape varietals, Lagrein and Vernatsch. The south-facing hilly vineyards are characterised by loamy, sandy soil which produce fresh, fruity and genuine red wines. The vineyard in Frangart is a slightly north-facing slope with hard, loamy soil and is therefore ideally suited to the rich depth of Merlot and the elegant Chardonnay.
Our family-run winery is concentrated on the two native South Tyrolean varieties Schiava (Santa Maddalena) and Lagrein. The vineyards in the Santa Maddalena area offer ideal climatic and pedologic conditions for them. In addition, small quantities of Chardonnay and Merlot are cultivated, which grow in a slightly cooler vineyard, characterized by very clayey soils.
